Urbandale, Iowa - May 21, 2002 – In response to the rising need for more skilled professionals in the areas of private security, public law enforcement, and federal security, Hamilton College announces a new Criminal Justice Associates degree program. The college also offers degree programs in business administration, medical assistant, and information technology. In conjunction with Crime Prevention Week, which began on May 19, the State of Iowa Crime Scene Van, Bomb Truck and Crime Lab Team will be on campus at 11:15 a.m. on Wednesday, May 22nd to answer questions from students regarding the criminal justice field. The Hamilton campus is located at 4655 121st Street, in Urbandale, Iowa.
“Hamilton College’s Criminal Justice Degree Program will provide students with a solid foundation in criminal justice and the technical skills of various specialized employment areas such as law enforcement, corrections, and private security,” said Executive Director Ed Rogan. “Students who enroll in this program can seek employment opportunities in a wide variety of criminal justice environments. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will be awarded an Associate of Applied Science in Criminal Justice.”
