Southampton, Penn., October 17, 2006 – CHI Institute – Southampton announced it will hold a graduation ceremony tonight for 196 students. The ceremony will take place at 7:45 p.m. at the Brookside Manor at 50 Bustleton Pike in Feasterville, Penn. Two students will keynote Tuesday’s ceremony: Junius Pollard, will receive an Associate’s degree in Specialized Business in Criminal Justice, and Corinne Ruczynski, will receive a Diploma in Medical Assisting with Phlebotomy.
The ceremony will recognize 196 students who have earned associate’s degrees and diplomas in nine programs including medical assisting, pharmacy technician, criminal justice and graphic design. Upon graduation, students may be eligible for entry-level positions in their field of study, many of which are in high demand throughout the state. According to the Center for Workforce Information and Analysis, Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, Occupational Employment Projections in Pennsylvania, 2004, medical assisting positions are expected to increase from 45.9 percent and pharmacy technician position positions by 19.1 percent from 2002 to 2012.

CHI Institute, Southampton campus, is an accredited school, Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT). ACCSCT is listed as a nationally recognized accrediting agency by the United States Department of Education. The campus offers eight programs including electrician, computer networking and respiratory therapy, which the school began offering in November of 2005.
