    denver career college to host graduation for 83 students FRIDAY EVening

     

     

    Thornton, Colo., Sept. 14, 2006Denver Career College announced today that it will host a graduation ceremony on Friday, Sept. 15, 2006. The ceremony will begin at 6:00 p.m. at Victory Church at 11777 Sheridan Blvd. in Westminster, Colorado. Andrea Martinez, graduating student earning an Associate of Applied Science in Criminal Justice, will keynote the ceremony.

     

    The ceremony will recognize 83 students who have earned an associate of applied science or a certificate. Upon graduation, students will be prepared for entry-level positions in their field of study, many of which are in high demand throughout the state. According to the Colorado Occupational Outlook 2005 (published by the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, Labor Market Information, Projections Unit) paralegal positions are expected to increase by 51.8 percent, pharmacy technician positions by 52.5 percent, massage therapist positions by 11.5 percent and medical assistant positions by 54.3 percent from 2004 to 2014.

     

    “Our students have worked hard to reach this day and we are proud of them and their accomplishments,” said Kristine Conlin, Executive Director of Denver Career College. “We look forward to celebrating their achievements today and throughout their careers.”

     

    Denver Career College is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT). ACCSCT is listed as a nationally recognized accrediting agency by the United States Department of Education. Denver Career College currently offers seven programs including massage therapy, general practice paralegal, criminal justice, medical assistant, pharmacy technician, medical office specialist and paralegal studies.
