    HESSER COLLEGE APPOINTS DR. JOHN E. ROCHE AS NEW PRESIDENT

     

    MANCHESTER, N.H., July 18, 2007Hesser College’s board of trustees has announced the appointment of Dr. John E. (Jack) Roche, 60, as the school's new president.  In this capacity, Roche oversees Hesser’s main campus in Manchester and branch campuses in Concord, Nashua, Portsmouth and Salem.

     

    “Dr. Roche’s outstanding experience in higher education is a valuable asset to the future of our college,” said Dr. Phil Krebs, regional vice president of operations for Kaplan Higher Education’s New England region.  “We expect Dr. Roche to guide us in continually providing quality educational opportunities for the citizens of New Hampshire.”

     

    Roche has more than 20 years of experience in educational leadership positions.  Most recently, he was the interim president for CHI Institute in Broomall, Penn.  He spent three years at Berkeley College, where he was a vice-president of career services and professional development.  He also served as an associate dean at Long Island University and as a chairperson and assistant professor at New York Institute of Technology.

    Hesser College serves approximately 3,500 students at five campus locations in New Hampshire.  The school offers bachelor’s degrees, associate degrees, diplomas and certificates in a variety of fields including business, allied health, legal, interior and graphic design, and psychology.
