Heritage College to Host Graduation Ceremony for 163 Students Friday
Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman to Keynote Ceremony
LAS VEGAS, May 30, 2008—Heritage College will host a graduation ceremony on Friday, May 30, for 163 students. The ceremony will take place at 4:00 p.m. at the Tropicana Resort and Casino at 3801 Las Vegas Boulevard, Las Vegas. Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman will keynote the ceremony.
Students will be recognized for earning associate degrees or diplomas in one of five programs in the allied health, legal studies or information technology fields. Upon graduation, students may be eligible for entry-level positions in their field of study. According to Nevada Statewide Occupational Employment and Projections, a report by the Nevada Department of Employment, Training & Rehabilitation, pharmacy technician positions are expected to increase by 62.8 percent and medical assistant positions by 69.8 percent from 2004 to 2014.
“We are very proud of all of our graduates,” said Beth Berselli, executive director of Heritage College. “They’ve worked very hard to accomplish their goals, and we wish them well going forward in their professional careers. We are very pleased that Mayor Goodman will recognize the accomplishments of our students.”
Heritage College is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Careers Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT). ACCSCT is listed as a nationally recognized accrediting agency by the United States Department of Education.
