Kaplan University’s Des Moines Campus to Host Graduation Ceremony Friday
Iowa State Rep. Wayne Ford to Keynote Ceremony
DES MOINES, Iowa, Sept. 26, 2008—Kaplan University’s Des Moines campus will host a graduation ceremony on Friday, Sept. 26, for 208 students. The ceremony will take place at 7:00 p.m. at Hoyt Sherman Place at 1501 Woodland Ave., Des Moines. Iowa State Rep. Wayne Ford will keynote the ceremony.
Students will be recognized for earning bachelor’s degrees, associate degrees, certificates and diplomas in one of 13 programs in the business, practical nursing, legal studies, information technology and allied health fields. Upon graduation, students may be eligible for entry-level positions in their field of study. According to the State of Iowa Occupational Projections, a report by the Iowa Workforce Development, Labor Market and Workforce Information Division, practical nursing positions are expected to increase by 13.5 percent, medical assistant positions by 33 percent, medical transcriptionist positions by 15 percent and paralegal positions by 22.6 percent from 2006 to 2016.
The Kaplan University Des Moines campus is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA).
