San Diego Campus to Host Graduation Ceremony for 146 Students Friday
San Diego, June 13, 2008—Maric College’s San Diego campus will hold a graduation ceremony for 146 students on Friday, June 13th. The ceremonies will take place at 3:30, 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. at the Joan B. Kroc Theatre at 6611 University Ave., San Diego.
Students will be recognized for earning associate degrees or certificates in one of seven programs in legal studies, nursing or allied health fields. Upon graduation, students may be eligible for entry-level positions in their field of study, many of which are in high demand throughout the state. According to the California Long-Term Occupational Employment Projections, a report by the California Employment Development Department, Labor Market Information Division, medical assistant positions are expected to increase by 35.7 percent, registered nursing positions by 26.4 percent, vocational nursing positions by 20.9 percent and paralegal positions by 28.5 percent from 2004 to 2014.
“Graduation is a day of accomplishment and reflection for our students” said Michael Seifert, president of Maric College’s San Diego campus. “We know our students have overcome many obstacles to achieve their educational goals and we wish them luck in their future endeavors.”
The Maric College San Diego campus is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT). ACCSCT is listed as a nationally recognized accrediting agency by the United States Department of Education.
